Dr. Michelle Tiong 获得2021 RILEM Best student poster award

From August 29 – September 3, 2021, the 75th RILEM Annual Week was taken place at Merida, Mexico.
Before the 75th Annual Week, a number of PhD courses such as “Hydration and Microstructural Characterization of Cementitious Systems” were conducted by the industrial experts such as Prof Karen Scrivener (from EPFL, Switzerland) to attract the participation and broaden the education to PhD students and young researchers from the construction industry. This meaningful program attracted 34 young professionals from around the world, included China, France, UK, USA and so on. These participants were eligible to participate in the poster competition. 




On 16th September 2021, a total of 7 winners have been announced whereby the RILEM best student poster award, which is also known as Winner of Global Category was granted to Dr. Michelle Tiong, one of Prof Ling Tung-Chai’s team members. The poster titled “Acceleration Carbonation of Dry-mix Pressed Cement Blocks: A Coupling Effect of Water-to-Cement and Moulding Pressure”, co-authored by Xuemiao Li and Prof Ling Tung-Chai.



Dr. Michelle Tiong received a certificate signed by the RILEM TAC Chair, a price of 500 Euros, and will be invited to present the work during the conference of 76th RILEM Annual Week in Kyoto, Japan, September 2022.
