Dr. Michelle Tiong 参加 "75th RILEM Annual Week" 并在大会上作报告

Professor Tung-Chai LING and one of his postdoctoral researchers, Dr. Michelle Tiong have attended a conference “75th RILEM Annual Week – International Conference on Advances in Sustainable Construction Materials and Structure”, held on 29th August to 3rd September 2021. This conference took place in Mexico, but due to the Covid 19 situation, they can only attend the virtual one. The detailed program could be found at: http://rilemweek2021.uanl.mx/.
Dr. Michelle Tiong gave a presentation about “Accelerated Carbonation of Dry-Mix Cement Pastes: A Coupling Effect of W/C Ratio and Moulding Pressure”. Professor Kamal Khayat, who is the TC chair of RILEM Technical Committee 228 Mechanical Properties of SCC, was the moderator of that presentation session SS 3-2. He commented that the presented idea was very interesting, and it seemed to be ideal for consolidation of porous concrete where the porous structures allowed the CO2 diffusion. The similar application on bricks or cinder blocks could also be considered.
